OKAVANGO DELTA TOUR

You wake up in the early morning where you will be picked up, either at a lodge/hotel or Maun airport. The trip will start around 07:30 hrs to Boro settlement on an engine or speedboat cruise to the buffalo fence which separates wildlife from domesticated animals. When its dry season, you will be driven by a 4*4 vehicle to Ditshiping where you will meet polers who will be responsible for taking you on an unforgettable journey through the myriad channels of the Okavango. This polers are born and raised in the Okavango delta wilderness and thus have a plethora of knowledge about it.You will enjoy the peace and tranquility of the delta in a traditional dugout canoe (mokoro).Our team will make a camp on an island where you will be able to see some animals and learn about the delta’s vegetation, animals and the indigenous tribes living in the bush. You will have dinner at the camp and in the evening once more sit around the campfire sharing experiences of the day.

You will spend the whole day deep inside the Okavango delta exploring the channels by mokoro and also conduct guided bushwalks and game walks with an experienced guide. When you wake up, a light breakfast will be waiting for you. After breakfast, you will go on your first activity (either a nature walk or a mokoro excursion) after the activity; you will have a shower at camp and afterwards served brunch. In the afternoon you will embark on a second game viewing activity. After the activity, enjoy excellent meals prepared over the bush fire by our chef and once more share the experiences of the day in the evening around the bush fire and after that have a wonderful sleep in your comfortable tent with the noises of wild animals and the bush surrounding you.

Enjoy a last mokoro tour and a bush walk before heading back to Maun. You will have lunch by the riverside and before sunset you will be back in Maun. The Okavango delta is fully explored through these excursions thus you will have plenty of pictures and memories.
